H11 Acrylic Panel Installation
For the H11 acrylic panel installation at a double-height entryway, architect of the project M/s. DB Architekt envisioned a dramatic “bottle-arch” vista formation without sacrificing valuable floor space. Baba Supersign brought this concept to life with CNC-routed acrylic panels flanking both sides of the entrance, crowned by a concealed heavy-duty channel in the slab to support the structure’s weight. A synchronized, colour-changing LED system adds dynamic illumination, accentuating the arch’s form and creating the exact dramatic effect the architect prescribed.
Materials and Execution
- CNC-Routed Acrylic Panels: Precision-cut bottle-shaped panels on either side of the entry, providing a sculptural framing element.
- Colour-Changing LED Lighting: Programmable LED strips mounted behind the panels, driven by a timer controller to shift hues and set the desired mood throughout the day.
- Heavy-Duty MS Channel & Chain: Structural mild-steel channel recessed into the ceiling slab, paired with steel chains to securely suspend the panels and handle the load.
- Finish & Detailing: All steel components powder-coated for corrosion resistance and painted to blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture.
Key Benefits & Features
- Striking Entrance feature: The bottle-arch silhouette instantly commands attention and sets a premium tone for the space.
- Space-Saving Design: Suspended panels preserve unobstructed floor area and maintain clear circulation beneath.
- Dynamic Ambience: Colour-changing LED programming enhances the architectural form with ever-evolving light scenes.
- Robust & Reliable: Engineered MS channel and chain supports ensure long-term safety and minimal maintenance.
